Help! pressing ctrl changes keyboard layout in IntelliJ

I am running linux mint with 2 keyboard layouts, qwerty and dvorak. I have no issues with this, and haven't had an issue with intellij until today. Now, for some reason, whenever I hold the ctrl key, it switches my keyboard layout to dvorak. This is particularly confusing, because I can type normally but ctrl+s opens the Override methods dialogue. It took me a LONG time to figure out what was happening, but it is happening reliably and I can reproduce. This is not an OS or external issue, as this doesn't happen in other apps, such as Sublime Text.

Can you also provide the idea.log file after reproducing the issue (Help | Show Log in Explorer)? You can attach it to the YouTrack ticket.
