shift-shift search stopped working with 2020.2

I just upgraded my IDEA C to 2020.2 and noticed the shift-shift search stopped working or works somehow differently from the previous version.
It's a Scala project and I'm using the Scala plugin.
Any ideas?

Works fine for me on macOS. Do you see anything when "Presentation assistant" plugin is enabled and Shift+Shift is executed?
Do you see the popup in a just created project?

The search window does open with shift-shift, but for some reason it's not able to find items as before. I've also tried re-importing the project, but that didn't appear to help.
I'm experiencing the same problem, though only with Scala files, every other file type works fine. This happens in every project including Scala seed projects. The files are not found in any of the search windows regardless of filter settings, source file mappings, and exclusions.
