IntelliJ IDEA lagging and freezing up

For a while now I've been having some performance issues with IntelliJ IDEA. Whenever I go back and forth between more than a few classes, it starts to get really slow until it ends up freezing and blanking the screen. It gets back to normal after a few seconds, but the issue reoccurs as soon as I start moving around again. Sometimes I also get low memory warnings on the event log, even though I've allocated 3038MB to the IDE.

Running IntelliJ IDEA 202.6948.69 on Manjaro 5.4.64-1
