Intellij idea git optiont revert to default

Answered

Hello everyone, I used to click the git option on the lower left corner of the screen to see the difference between my local changes and what's in the remote. I just clicked on a popup and now when clicking on git I get this very convoluted and hard to understand graph with all the commit history of the project. I want to go back to how things were. I tried resetting to default by clicking on File -> Manage IDE Settings -> Restore Default Settings but it didn't do the trick.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide

Hello @...
Could you please clarify whether you mean "Local Changes" tab?
If so, it can be found under "Commit" tab on a left side of a window, or if you want to restore old View with Local Changes under Git Tool window then you need to go to Preferences | Version Control | Commit and disable "Use non-modal commit interface".

Please let us know if it helps.

According to your screenshot I can see that the Diff is hidden in the lower part of the window, so you can locate your mouse there and let the "Resize" cursor appear and then drag diff up.

Or you can choose Diff Location based on your needs. Please see the screenshot below.

Please let us know if it helps.
