Community PyCharm 2019.2.6 Debugger Does Not Work

I have upgraded PyCharm from 2019.2.3 to 2019.2.6.  Now the debugger no longer works.  I get the following error:

Connection to Python debugger failed
Socket Closed

I am working on a Mac with OSX 10.13.6 (highSierra).  PyCharm 2019.2.3 worked fine.  After the upgrade, I tried
the debugger and it failed.
