File content wasn't saved

I'm in a complete crisis. I woke up this morning after rebooting my computer to find out the all of the changes I made to a file were not saved. 

I have a file that I have been working on for a couple of days. It's not part of a project, I just opened it independantly. I set up the system interpreter and start working without any problems. Yesterday I closed pycharm because I needed to reboot my computer. Today I booted it and opened pycharm once again, to find out that NOTHING was saved. I searched in File | Local history, but it didn't save nothing, only the first version (the first time I started working on the file). 
I know it's impossible, so I performed a search on my filename on the file system, and found out that indeed pycharm saved metadata about the file but not the file itself:

(11/12/2020) is the last time I edited the file.

What I should do??? how come pycharm didn't save anything and didn't even warn about it when closing it? Can I restore the file contents from the contents in the AppData folder?

please please tell me that it was stored some where else. I have a strong feeling that it's a bug (an edge case). When I closed pycharm it didn't warn about anything.
