Unable to save settings: Failed to save settings. Please restart PyCharm - 2020.3
After updating today to version 2020.3, I get the above error: Unable to save settings: Failed to save settings. Please restart PyCharm
I've tried restoring settings to default, and then adding back the original version of the settings, with still the same issue. It only appears in one project (the one that was open when I updated), the other projects seem to be working fine without the error. I've tied attaching the idea.log file, but it failed (maybe too big at 1.8MB?).

Hi, please try to delete .idea dir from your project root, and reopen the project to let PyCharm recreate it.
Unfortunately, this will delete some project-specific settings. You can temporary rename the .idea folder just for the test.

Same thing happened to me this week. I can either create a new project or access to the old ones.
