When selecting a recent file, is there a way to force the currently selected pane to switch to the file?
Answered
I have two panes with different files split vertically. When I want to look at a recent file, I press the key combo to pull up the list of recent files and select the one I want. This will pull up the file - however, sometimes it is opened in the non selected pane. I want it to only open in pane that is currently selected, so I can leave up the file that as in the non selected pane. Is there a setting / other way to do this?

May you elaborate?
Am I right that you are using Ctrl/Cmd + E (Recent files popup)?
Is the selected file opened in the opposite tab group?
May you show a short screencast demonstrating that?
All the files show up. The issue is that if I have two panes open (left and right) I want the file I select from the popup to go the active pane (where the cursor is). So if I was typing in the left pane, I would want the file opened from the popup to go in the left pane
Am I right that you are using Ctrl/Cmd + E (Recent files popup)? Or switcher (Cmd+Tab)?
May you show a short screencast demonstrating that?
