PyCharm for M1 Macs - Tab key not working in integrated terminal

Version: PyCharm 2020.3.2 built on Dec 30, 2020

I have a strange situation where the TAB key is not working in the integrated terminal.

It works everywhere else - in Terminal, iTerm2, VS Code, on my Windows machine.

But when I press tab in this particular terminal, there is no response. Very strangely, tab works as expected in the Python console.

I am using the default keymap ( MacOS ). Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.
