My intelliJ will not open(I have reinstalled multiple times)

I have reinstalled my ide multiple times now and have even went through and tried to do what the other posts have told me. I can run the 32 bit version by going to the idea.bat file but other than that I can not get my ide to open.

Is your OS 64-bit? Are you installing the latest version of the IDE?
Did you try following the steps from this troubleshooting guide?
Are you able to execute the idea64.exe file directly from the IDE installation folder (located inside /bin)? Does it help if you run it as Administrator?
Check the Windows Event Log for any errors or warnings around the moment when the problem occurred. Also look for any generated Java crash logs (files with names like java_error_in_idea_*.log in your user home directory) and examine them.
If you have antivirus/firewall, make sure that IDE config directories and IDE installation folder are excluded from the scan.
