Try to start it from OS terminal via the idea.bat file and examine the output, please see How to start IDE from the command line

I click it and it sends me an error:

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click Ok to close the application.

Where do you click? Please try this https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-208278#focus=Comments-27-3320952.0-0

If problem remains, please run the idea.bat from the Windows terminal. What textual output do you get in terminal?

I click the window batch file named "idea"

And the link maybe only works for window 10, not 7. I can't find anything related on that page.

Please check this thread https://stackoverflow.com/q/9560993/2000323

You should run it from the terminal: ./idea.bat, see instructions https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011901879

I feel like it not gonna works on this old laptop. I download IntelliJ just to coding a Forge Minecraft mod for fun, there is a tutorial on youtube that I can follow. I'm no expert in these things, I'm just a teenager and I don't want to waste time on that anymore. Instead, I just study for the important exam ahead which is very important for every grade 9 students in my country. Thank you for your contributions.
