coursera Kotlin training and set up of training assignments
Answered
Hi
I have started with the Coursera course 'Kotlin for java developers' through the training offerings in our company training platform. I am asked to use an IDE (like IntelliJ IDEA) with the EduTools plugin. I am not allowed to install anything on my company issued computer. However, I do have IntelliJ IDEA community installed on my private (hence separate) computer and I have installed the EduTools plugin.
My question now: how can I establish a link between this installation and the ongoing training course on my company computer. Obviously I have a different identity on these two systems. Can anybody provide advise?

Unfortunately, there's no officially supported option to back up and restore the My Courses tab.
But you can try copying the directory containing the Kotlin for Java Developers course from one computer to another and importing it by clicking Open in the Projects tab on the Welcome Screen of your IDE. The course should be available in the My Courses tab after that.
I need to be a bit more clear about what the problem is: In the training course I am asked to submit the results of programming assignments. I can only do that on the other (private) system. So, how can I make sure that this gets linked to each other?
Just open the course on your private computer and link it to the IDE.
Hi Konstantin. I still need your help. I have the EDU plugin installed.
Now I select File/Learn and Tech/Browse Courses/. I have nothing showing under 'My Courses'. As said previously, I have started the course on a different computer. How do I link to the already running course? Or do I have to start all over?
May you log into the Coursera on the computer with the EDU plugin installed? You need to connect your IDE to Coursera on your home computer.

I have specified my e-mail address as per your instruction. But still no courses are showing.
However, the course is showing under File File/Learn and Tech/Browse Courses/All courses/coursera, just not under 'My Courses'.
I think I was able to open the first programming task and I am in. Thanks for your help.
