Tab not equal to 4 spaces with small zoom

Hi, it has been hurting me for some time, but why "4 spaces" are equal to "Tab" with maximum zoom but when you make it smaller - they are for some evil reason not equal?

Examples below, first line "4 spaces" and second line "Tab"

Maximum zoom:

Smaller zoom:

Sorry for bothering, this thing is just very annoying

Hi Tim,

What font are you using? I can't seem to reproduce this with JetBrains Mono.

What is the version of your IDE? Can you attach a sample file where you see this issue?

Hi Arina,

I'm using this:

IntelliJ IDEA 2018.3.6 (Ultimate Edition)
Build #IU-183.6156.11, built on March 25, 2019

It reproducible on any file, even one new created *.txt

Would it be possible for you to install the latest 2021.1 version and check if the issue persists?
