Can't write "space" char as a last char in a line if Built-in Preview opened
WebStorm trims any last space(s) in the line when Built-In Preview is opened, which makes impossible to write normal text or css (like .class .inner-element)
Once Preview is closed WS is back to normal.

The built-in preview auto-saves files for hot reloading. What On Save/Remove trailing spaces on is set to in Settings | Editor | General?
Yep, Remove trailing spaces on is checked and set to "All lines"
Ok, now I understand where it comes from, but I still find current behaviour unexpected.
