how to config spacing between folder/file list in project tool window
Answered
How to config/change the spacing between folder/file list in project tool window? See below screenshot. each ">" indicates a folder/list in the project tool window. I'd like to reduce the spacing between then to make it compact. I recalled it was more compact in the previous version. Is there a setting I can change this? Thanks.

Add
in Help | Edit Custom Properties and restart the IDE. Adjust the number for the desired row height.
Thanks Serge.
I tested with value of 20 and 5, restarted the IDE, doesn't seem to make a difference.
Running 2021.1.2
Works fine here with the same version. Try with the default IDE settings (File | Manage IDE Settings | Restore Default Settings...: https://i.imgur.com/kbrkC7w.png) and no third-party plug-ins installed. You may be using some third-party theme plug-in which overrides IDE settings.
Thanks for the confirmation and suggestion. Hesitated to do reset of settings since I don't remember all the settings I changed.
Searched and found this https://stackoverflow.com/questions/60195852/how-to-make-project-tree-layout-compact-again-in-intellij-idea, this works but doesn't persist restart.
Hello, the above does not work for me and 2021.3, the linked stack overflow trick no longer works. Please advise.

This trick is working with Rider 2024.1 Ubuntu.
