Restore workspace is not restoring my tabs on switching branches

Previously my workspace tabs were being restored every time I switch between different branches on my laptop. But for a few days now, the workspaces are not being restored, I remain with the same workspace of the branch I just switched from.
Any idea why?
PS: Restore workspace on branch switching is selected.

What version are you running?
Is there a chance that you may have "Task server" configured?

No, I do not have Task server configured. But after restarting my laptop the issue was resolved.
I am running IntelliJ IDEA 2021.1.3.
