Unwelcomed upgrade to 2021.2 from 2021.1.3 has removed by keymap

It seems your issue is related to https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-264419.
Could you please share us with the Simon Douglas GNOME.xml file in IDEA 2021.2's configuration?
Does it help if you copy this file from 2021.1 to 2021.2 folder to overwrite this file and restart the IDEA?

The keymap is identical in both versions - I have restarted IDEA, and restarted my machine.

Hi, I see you created another support ticket about the same issue too. I have replied to you on that ticket. Please check it.
We could just use one channel (here or that support ticket) to help your so you and me don't need to reply twice in a different place.

Please share the IDE logs in IDEA 2021.2 from IDE main menu Help | Show Log in ... for investigating.

Have you enabled the "Sync Settings" feature in the IDEA?
In this case, the IDEA doesn't use the keyboard in ~/.config/JetBrains/IntelliJIdea2021.2/keymaps/ but the one in ~/.config/JetBrains/IntelliJIdea2021.2/jba_config/linux.keymaps/.

• I thought I had been using Sync - I looked in 2021.2 folder, and that jba_config/linux.keymaps file did not exist, so therefore the sync was not being used.
• I've had to recreate my config as I have work to do - I can read the XML file and recreate the binding manually. However, several macros that I had created, have been lost. A little frustrating, but not the end of the world.
