cannot open IntelliJ IDEA

every time I try opening it on my Mac it doesn't open gives me an. error to ask for reopening and on clicking the option it does nothing.

Hi,

Are there any `java_error_in*.log` files in the user's home directory? Please attach them along with the log folder compressed. (https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/207241085-Locating-IDE-log-files)
 
The files can be uploaded at https://uploads.jetbrains.com/ (do not forget to specify the UploadID)

I looked there is nothing like that on my mac

Please launch the IDE from the command line and attach the output. Are there any related system crash dumps in ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/ ?
