Limiting Search everywhere to specific module

Answered

Is there a way to filter search everywhere to a module?

For example, when I search for a file that is present in a different modules, search screen will mark the module that contains the file, however I cannot find a way to select module via search:

You can switch to the `Files` tab and change scope in the top right corner of the dialog:

But from what I see, this is a very slow process and not keyboard friendly?

To change the module without a mouse you can try the following way:

- Press Shift twice.

- Switch to Files section using Tab.

- Press Alt + O to open the scope settings.

But from what I see, I cannot select specific module in the scope menu?

Looks like it is a known problem - https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-230946 .

As a workaround, you can try creating custom scopes as per https://www.jetbrains.com/help/idea/settings-scopes.html and select them in the drop-down list.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

This is still way complicated way of searching for a file in specific module though.

I made an improvement request here: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-281653

My idea is that  you could type in build mobile for example, and it would search for build inside mobile module.
