Issues with debugging in intellij 2021.3

There's an issue with java debugging that has started since i upgraded to latest Intellij.(2021.3)
When i run in debug mode, i has happened several times now that execution stops at a breakpoint, but the "resume" button does not light up. It happens intermittently.
See attached screenshot for an example.
is this a known issue?

No, just tried with a Spring Boot project i have lying around, same thing happens there.

Hi, saw this today.
I restarted intellij, cleared the log and prepared to send the logs. Lo and behold, right now it doesn't happen! Perhaps because of the restart, i don't know.
It definitely did happen though, so unless intellij has updated i would guess it will happen at some point again (it's happened more than once or twice). Will keep my eyes open.
Hi, it has now happened again. All buttons are disabled after i stopped a run. see attached screenshot.
