Can you update PyCharm without opening it?

My PyCharm won't open, and I'm thinking maybe updating it will fix the problem, but I need to open it to update it... I don't wanna uninstall and install because I have some settings and plugins.

It is easier to reinstall it. Your projects and settings won't be lost as they are stored in different locations.
If the issue remains, please report it to https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issues/PY providing your idea.log file from the logs folder.
