If it it not the case, please upload logs folder zipped from ***Help | Collect logs and Diagnostic Data***to the FTP
I was experiencing this too. Several images show as white boxes. Luckily I found this page and turned off Wayland and now RubyMine works like it is supposed to. Thanks ibragimovs!

Problem solved when I switched from Wayland to Xorg.
