Settings after update

Answered

Every time I update DataGrip I have to do something to bring it back to the way I want it. For example to show schemas in Snowflake as lowercased. Everything was fine but after an update, I have it uppercased again.

Why is it happening? Not to mention I forgot where to change it

Also I had to download all the drivers again, why?

Hello Dawid,

You can change it in Preferences/Settings | Editor | Code Style | SQL | General | Case.

However, I cannot reproduce it on my DataGrip instance (both problems with drivers and casing).

What was your previous version of DataGrip?

Not sure, I may have missed the previous update so possibly 2022.1.3 and now on 2022.1.5

I also realised that after update my console tabs disappear and some old ones are appearing.

I keep my projects in a different folder, could that be an issue?

It could be an issue, especially if you've opened a different folder between these two versions: DataGrip saves its state (tabs, config, etc.) per project, so that's why you might get the following behavior.

But then again I open the projects from the same location as before and suddenly the consoles are gone.. weird

You can change it in Preferences/Settings | Editor | Code Style | SQL | General | Case.

I'm not sure that's the one, it's the intellisense that's uppercase, before the update I had it configured as lowercase:

Please try to configure it. It applies to the completion too.

Can you reproduce it constantly with the same project?

I probably won't be able to reproduce it until the next update.

The completion changes worked. How can I create one coding style that I can then apply to all projects and data sources?

Could you describe the way you make an update? Is it via ToolboxApp?

About -> Check for Updates.. I can actually see there's a new update:

Could you try to install JetBrains ToolboxApp and try to update via app?

I pupdated the app but the plugin error still showed

In regards to the code styling. Is there a comprehensive list or some kind of mapping where I can find the right setting for a specific case? For example, in natural language "Pressing enter after CTE's closing bracket has indentation" - how can I translate it to the settings

Even after installing from the box I got this message after opening EAP

@Dawid, make sure you've installed the latest EAP. In general, EAP build is live only for 1 month.

Also, let's list the problems you've got and name them with numbers for easy follow up.
