I have just upgraded to PyCharm 2022.2.3 (Professional Edition) on Windows 10 and cannot run my Python scripts remotely on Linux anymore.
The problems is the wdir parameter for runFile(). wdir is set to the working directory from the respective run configuration but uses backslashes (PyCharm changes those automatically) instead of the forward slashes needed in Python/Linux. Typing 'pwd' in the Console tells me that the interpreter is in the correct working directory. It is just that the working directory is passed wrongly to runFile() e..g. wdir='\\home\\me\\some\\where'.
