New UI: Massive problems with update and weird visual behaviour

I just wanted to share my experience with the new UI update and ask about an issue i am having.

So the update was a disaster for me. I updated from the latest stable version and after the update the IDE seemingly worked fine until i tried to enable the new UI. When i did that the IDE got stuck with a task "processing changes to 2 files". I had to force close it after 5 minutes and after a restart the IDE froze while initializing the last loaded projects. I managed to fix it by uninstalling all versions and reinstalling through the toolbox. Apparently it tried to access some virtual file. It tried it again after reinstall but this time it actually gave me an error instead of freezing. Unfortunately i don't have the message anymore and now everything works fine (with the new UI!).

The only issue i am having is that some lines seem to have a weird spacing. Here is what i mean;

note, Those are not line breaks. The line height is just wildly different. Does anyone know what's up with that?
