Pycharm. Project1 vs Project2

I had several .py  practice files in Project1   [  which had similar functions between them  ] .

I then wanted to move into a different catagory of practice files ;   giving this particular project the name Project2 .

When i created Project2  .  .  .   Project1  dissapeared .      No trace .   Cannot find anything relating to Project1 .

Has this happened to other individuals   ?
