Hi,In Settings | Version Control | Directory Mappings, you can unmap the project and git will become inactive. Btw, did you try our git integration? It's also fully designed for GUI users.

Another thing: Can you try to make the files read-only? This way if IDE is indeed trying to modify it, maybe some exception will occur in the log.

Hi Victor, It's probably Github/Gitlab plugins checking for remotes. It's not fetching but sending calls to check if remotes defined in your config are indeed gitlab/github ones. Is it a big issue?
