And what output givesjava -versionandecho %JAVA_HOME%? You need JAVA_HOME environment variable to point to correct JRE installation in order for jruby (and jgem too) to work

You can cycle through tabs using Alt+Right/Left. Also you can add shortcut for Select Next tab action (Settings - Keymap - Main menu - Window)
