I would suggest deleting the files *.class, and placing the files *.java  into the blue colored folder called "src"See if that helps you progress

You don't need a specific plugin for gitlab clone/push/pull etc. It is just a normal git repository.

This version should work with EAP 106.466 also.The issue that was preventing the plugin from loading is marked as fixed, but perhaps hasnt made it into the current EAP yet.
