Ok so again, I had no source maps, was able to debug.  No idea how.  Anyway, moving on, so I enabled sourcemaps.  And still, I get no instance for my in-memory DB: the sourcemap: Still don't get ...

the only place I see sourcemaps set is here.  But it's not generating physical sourcemap files in my dist folder which is where tsconfig outputs to.  So if it's not generating sourcemap files anywh...

So I wrote that I'm not even using sourcemaps.  The later example works without sourcemaps by wrapping the same code before in more function scope.  Why is that?    I've already looked at all those...

No it's not listed in there however *.config was and I removed that but no luck, still the same issue, even after restarting (and invalidating caches) WebStorm.

I updated to latest for mojave, can open the project but IntelliJ 2019.2 nor WebStorm's latest build fixed this problem.

No it's mojave.  I also updated webstorm and it did not fix that original issue.  I see there's a mojave update out there that I have not updated yet to, let me try that next.

that's interesting, updated to 2.2 and now when I tell it to open my project, nothing happens, the welcome to intellij launch screen just sits there.
