I just upgraded to 2016.3.3 just now, same issue. I actually did a git add . and commit locally since the initial post so now CompanyProfile.js is staged. So now when I do a git difftool, nothing...

I swear I've seen it where you replace a name by typing a new name and you can see all other references in say the same file change real-time as you type. Where's that option?

this is what bugs me about JetBrains. Some versions break stuff that worked. Now it works again in 2016.3.

yea well.... I know I have installed previous versions even at a diff workplace (differen't PCs) and have had this problem up till now. Anyway it's resolved. thx

Interesting...yea it works in the new version of Webstorm that just came out today (which I assume you have installed already on your PC). I supposed you aren't using THAT now are you :P
