This is what I discovered:- IDEA 4.5 and IDEA 5 both crash upon opening certain (see below) files- the behaviour is identical under JDK 1.4.2 and JDK 1.5 (IDEA 5.0 only)- the behaviour is identical...

Thanks Randall - that did it. But you're right - sometimes it renders fine, sometimes not. I was not able to discover the pattern, either. Peter

Stupid question - what is a "GUI XHTML Editor" ? Is it the improved GUI for the XHTML Text Editor or an improvement of the GUI designer? How do I call it up/where is it?Thanks,Peter

Running Demetra build 5594/Mustang Beta 2 still produces the problem reliably under Ubuntu Linux. What a pity - it feels a lot faster.Peter
