Did you try adding a remote sdk, you can select a local path. Settings -> Languages & Frameworks -> Ruby SDK and Gems -> click on the little + sign

There is one when you choose to run a folder, so I can run the entire spec folder.

I don't get any error message, the run test's option simply does not appear in the menu, I will try to extract a sample projec for you soon.
