-Didea.popup.weight=medium fixed the flickering menu problem for me.

ugh..for some reason it starts flickering again after an indeterminable period of time. I tried restarting a few times and it always starts up fine, no flickering...then a few minutes the flickerin...

I think J2EE is a big market and very important at least to me. IMO they missed the boat working on and then postponing AspectJ in 4.0. I wish they concentrated on j2ee 1.4 and opening the API to s...

If you are teaching maybe you should check out http://www.bluej.org/. It doesnt compare to IDEA in any way, other than it seems geared for teaching.

I think it looks pretty good too so far with 1.5b1, the only thing i've run into is that the file tabs are a couple pixels too big vertically in xp l&f and project settings->paths dialog does not c...

I think its obvious anything broken between the Aurora Release and Pallada's first two builds you can safely wager will be fixed again at some point.

Eclipse has had AspectJ support for I don't know how long, but quite a while. So IDEA would not be the first.
