Turning off the the LCD Aliasing fixed the performance issue described in the ticket. I left a note about my machine and graphics card on the ticket as well. Thanks for the help!

Make sure you have your keymap set to OSX 10.5+ in the preference menu. This will make most of the default mac shortcuts work like command + z and command + w.
