The only way I came to solve this problem was to actually put a development group in the Gemfile that holds the versions of the components. Once you accidently hit "bundle update" something happens...

Never mind. I just found this post:https://devnet.jetbrains.com/message/5524015#5524015and I can verify as well, RubyMine 7.0 EAP seems to solve all these problems. Sorry about that,-Polar
