The -X... parameters are non standard parameters and may not exist in the VM that you are using. If you are running on a Mac or other Unix varient, you can do a "man java" to see what's available....

According to Maxim, it is a bug in Idea, not a permission problem:Ralph,this is indeed the problem in IDEA's code that uses 1.5 specific API. We will fix that.
