My point is that I cannot perform undo on the regular code editing action not talking about complicated structural replace etc. just typing and CTRLALTL the most. but I can go to the local history ...

Yes,But the property file is unknown to Idea. it should taken care in the similar manner as DTDs for xml file (import external resource etc. )]]> <property name="location" value="$"/> ]]>

I understand that Idea cannot resolve this, unless there is a special way to link property file with $I think this pretty standard way of externalizing the property file via -D parameter and theref...

I use spring conf file which is my classpath (not in the source folder but the directory is added to the module dependencies) please see my file below.Thanks trade...
