Pycharm 2017.1 Python Console and Remote Docker Interpreter not working

I am using a docker container for my remote python interpreter but get the following error when trying to use the "Python Console":
3f8ed944df7b:/usr/bin/python3 /opt/.pycharm_helpers/pydev/pydevconsole.py 0 0
PyDev console: starting.
Couldn't connect to console process.
Process finished with exit code 137 (interrupted by signal 9: SIGKILL)
