Why does favorites panel automatically close after a time period ?

I could not reproduce that. Could you please restart PhpStorm, open the Favorites pane, wait until it disappears (try not to do much so the log won't be filled with irrelevant events) and upload the IDE log somewhere?

Eugene, Thank you for your rapid reply! Looking again at my post I think I could have done a better job of explaining the problem. Allow me to try again: 

1. You start by having your favourites panel open. In my case it is in the side bar. 
2. Various folders are open, showing a long list of different classes. The classes themselves are closed. 
3. You close the favourites panel into the side bar, and open a different panel. Projects perhaps. You work there for 5 minutes or so. 
4. You go back to your favourites panel, opening it from the side bar. 
5. You see that all your folders containing all your classes are now collapsed down.  So now you have to reopen them all again.  I am repeating this 20 times a day. UGH ! 

Let's hope you can recreate this.   Thanks ! 

I found the IDE.log, however, FYI closing Storm and reopening it has no impact on the size of the log. 

Here is the log.  I can see nothing in it that leads me to the random closing of the folders inside the favourites panel

Have you decided to ignore this? Trust me - it is very, very real. 

20 times per day I am reopening my folders inside favourites. This did not happen in v.9

It is real for sure.

At the same time -- I always thought that it's normal behaviour. I mean -- I'm using favourites pretty rarely .. so I have always seen them collapsed when I'm opening that panel ... so I thought it's the way they have always worked.

sorry for missing an update. It would take us some time to try to reproduce it (seems it occurs occasionally).

You can actually go ahead and report this at our tracker directly - probably someone else is experiencing this and could add details.

@dmitry  Thank you for your reply - it should not tale you too long to recreate. I am having to reopen my folders inside Favourites, 20 times a day. Version 9 did not do this. 

I will report this on tracker.
