Import Settings in latest update..??

I love PHPStorm, but updates just never work smoothly for me for some reason. I just got updated to 2017.2.1 and once again, none of my settings came in. It seems the settings file is in a different location for almost every version, too, so I can never seem to find it to do the import manually. If somebody can please point me to the location of the settings from the previous version so I can import into 2017.2.1 I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Ah, I think I see what happened. For some reason this time around I couldn't get PHPStorm to open after the update without running as Administrator in Windows. Doing this has apparently saved the settings under the admin user instead of my regular user. When I look under my reguluar user account I do see all of the previous settings folders from previous versions.
I chose to import settings from the previous version, though, and it says it did it successfully, but none of my settings are included after restarting PHPStorm again. I don't have time to waste right now, so I figured I'd just go ahead and set things up on my own again. Unfortunately, that's not going smoothly either.
I just tried to do a "git push" and it popped up this "Git Credential Manager for Windows" which I don't remember seeing for. I log into BitBucket with my Google account, so I don't have any actual BitBucket credentials, and it's not accepting my Google credentials of course. I guess I don't remember how I originally set that stuff up.
Why does screwy stuff like this happen every single time I update? It really makes me want to avoid updates altogether because I always have to waste time figuring stuff like this out afterwards.
I know complaining doesn't make it fun to help me, so I'm sorry for that, but I'm frustrated. Again, any tips on how to get this stuff working again with all my previous settings would be great. Thanks!
Just tried once more, and again, I had to open PHPStorm as Admin. Then I ran import settings and chose the previous version from the regular user folder. This time after restarting it did see my .gitignore plugin I have installed and showed there was an update available for that, so I was thinking things would be good now. The plugin does work now, but none of my previous projects are showing up under "Open Recent" and none of my Git settings are saved. Ugh.
After I was done freaking out I decided to go ahead and completely remove and re-install PHPStorm. Upon doing so, the old settings imported correctly and things are working now. Sorry for the freak out!
