Connection Error - 403 on trying to download and apply patch from within WebStorm
I'm trying to update my x64 WebStorm from 2017.2.2 to 2017.2.4 and every time I try to do it, I get a 403. In the IDE, I'm pretty sure I'm logged in because when I go to Help > Register, it shows my license and on my account page, it shows the same license. I tried copying the link of the patch and hitting it directly, but that only brought up XML, so I'm not sure how I can proceed. I clicked "Open download page," but I'd rather not download the 200 MB IDE again...

Looks as if the access to server is blocked by the firewall. Do you have any firewall/proxy configured?
Please provide your idea.log (https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/207241085-Locating-IDE-log-files). Don't paste it here, put it on some file server and provide a link
My company has set up my laptop to use Avast, which I cannot disable myself... I'd have to get one of the IT guys to disable it, which is kinda silly. Here's a link to the idea.log.
Try whitelisting https://download.jetbrains.com URL...
Meanwhile, you can download the full installation package from https://www.jetbrains.com/webstorm/download/
Just tried whitelisting, and that didn't seem to fix the issue... restarted WebStorm as well. I guess short-term would be to download the entire thing.
Same issue - also getting it from non corporate network
