Pycharm 2017.3.1 doesn't see mapped drive

I have come across this post

and checked IntelliJ and PyCharm in parallel (screenshot attached). Pycharm simply does not see existing mapped drive. Command prompt is fine, other IDEs are also fine. And it's not just the tree view, checking for existing folder via simple script does not work either.
