Are there any features you typically use but could not find in the new UI? There are some neon icons here, I would like to be able to choose newer but classic icons. I want the icon selection between standard and classic. Well, for example, so that the class icon is completely painted over.

There is already a similar request in our tracker for this, IDEA-296652, please upvote it and follow for updates (see this article if you are not familiar with YouTrack).

It would be great if you describe - here or in the comment of that issue in YouTrack - what exaxctly goes wrong with the new outlined icons. Thank you!

I think that the classic is better than the new one, because

In my opinion, it produces a more pleasant and harmonious impression, so it would be good if every user could choose the most suitable icons for him between the classic style and the new one.
The contrast of dark text on light is not as sharp and aggressive as the contrast of light text on dark, it creates a more calm and balanced image.
Some people see classic icons better than new ones
The blue outline of the circle in the second option looks excessive and violates the simplicity and purity of the form, it looks less minimalist, and this is what the new design strives for. In general, it causes associations that I sit in a cyberpunk bar where everything is in neon signs, and not in ide.
