PyCharm web live preview gone in 2023.3

Hi,

HTML Live preview seems to be gone in PyCharm 2023.3, I have checked back on 2023.2.5 and its showing up as it should:

While in 2023.3:

If I try to run it from right-click menu I get an error:

Has anyone encountered this, any way to fix? I cannot seem to get it working even by deleting or adding browsers in ‘Web Browsers and Preview’ settings.

Hi, first of all, please check "Settings | Tools | Web Browsers and Preview" and make sure Chrome is enabled. If the issue persists, I would backup my settings using **File | Manage IDE settings | Export Settings...** and check with the default settings using **File | Manage IDE settings | Restore Default Settings...**

Hi,

Restore to default did not fix the issue. I normally use Safari, and was forced to install Chrome due to that issue, then I can test via right-click context menu → Run, but i cannot force Pycharm to use Safari anymore.

Neither the little menu with browsers listed appear as in the first screenshot of initial post. This is happening on since 2023.3 update on Pycharm for MacOS.

Is that intended, can this be reported as bug?

This is not intentional, the menu is there for me in 2023.3. I suggest reporting a bug to https://youtrack.jetbrains.com and attaching logs from **Help | Collect Logs and Diagnostic Data**.
