IDE 2024.1 leaves a big empty space at the left side of code, now centering all the code

Hi, in the new version of 2024.1 IDEs there is a new big empty space at the left side of the code. The code is now centered in the middle of the screen.

  1. Is there anyway to disable this feature and revert it to the get the old appearance back?
  2. The menu option to show Git Blame annotations which we were able to select by right clicking in that space in that side has dissapeared. I can not see it anymore. How can we show Git Blame annotations now?

It seems there is some conflict with this new version 2024.1 with Material Theme UI.

Hi there,

Try the following (from another forum thread here):

Settings → Appearance & Behavior → Material Theme UI → Features → Uncheck “Centered Editor” and hit apply
