How to set soft wrap default to OFF in Active Editor?
Despite turning off Editor → General → Soft Wraps → Soft-wrap these files, every file I open soft wraps. I want to stop soft wrap in my active editor at all times. How do I do this?!?

I'm also running into this in goland. It's annoying. I turn it off in settings, and then it keeps showing up. This was not a problem until recently.
