Unable to Create R Project: Invalid R Interpreter

While R was successfully installed on my Mac laptop (M2, 14.5 (23F79)), I could not create an R project in PyCharm, suggesting that “Invalid R interpreter (only R 3.4+ supported).” However, R 4.4.1 is installed and runs well (as the terminal indicates). R and PyCharm are all up to date. I searched this issue on Google and forums, but I could not find anything helpful for me (many were posted two or three years ago). Thank you!
