Ubuntu Fonts
It seems that Ubuntu uses slight font hinting by default while PyCharm uses full hinting, this gives PyCharm's fonts a thinner look. Is there a way to change the hinting for PyCharm? Or am I completely off on my little theory?

Here is a screenshot using the GTK+ look and feel. I think it is just a difference in hinting.
