Caret positioning in "commit changes" dialog

New to 1085 is that the caret doesn't respect the, 'Virtual space, allow placement of caret after end of line" setting. I have that item unchecked, so that the caret never goes past the end of the text on the line. But in the commit dialog the caret is freely positionalble. Is there a new setting someplace for this or should I log a bug?
